Tycho Sneyers recognized in Private Equity News’ “Twenty Most Influential in ESG 2025”
Private Equity News recently published its annual list of the “Twenty Most Influential in ESG,” which includes Tycho Sneyers, Managing Partner at LGT Capital Partners, for the third consecutive year. This recognition underscores Tycho’s longstanding leadership in driving ESG integration within private markets and his continued influence across the global asset management landscape.
Tycho joined LGT Capital Partners in 2001 and has since been at the forefront of the firm’s ESG initiatives. In addition, he has served on the Board of Directors of the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) since 2018 and is the only investment manager to have been elected for three consecutive terms. Tycho has played an important role in mediating between the private equity industry and the PRI, helping to refine the organization’s reporting and assessment framework.
Under Tycho’s leadership, LGT Capital Partners has systematically integrated ESG considerations across its investment processes and has steadily strengthened its capabilities in this field over time. The firm recently assessed 380 alternative investment managers based on a range of ESG criteria which reflects the ongoing development of its ESG manager assessments and the continued enhancement of its ESG portfolio analytics.
Tycho commented:
“It is an honor to be included on this list for the third consecutive year. This recognition highlights the importance of adopting a thoughtful, long-term perspective on incorporating ESG considerations into investment practices. At LGT Capital Partners, our approach is rooted in over two decades of experience and we are continuing to strengthen our efforts as the landscape evolves.”
The annual list, which has now been published for the third time, is curated by Private Equity News’ editorial panel based on the nominees’ sector impact, leadership, recent achievements and their role in shaping the industry’s ESG practices.
