Tycho Sneyers becomes the first investment manager to be elected to the PRI Board for the third time
Tycho Sneyers, a Managing Partner at LGT Capital Partners, has been re-elected to the Board of the United Nations-sponsored Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). He has served on the Board since 2018 and will begin his next term in January 2024, becoming the first investment manager to be elected to the PRI Board three times.
The annual PRI Board elections took place from 20 September to 1 December 2023, with all investment managers that are signatories to the PRI being invited to elect their representative to the Board. Tycho Sneyers was first elected to the PRI Board in 2018 and was re-elected in 2021. In this year’s election, he received 37.3% of the votes, running alongside six other candidates.
Tycho Sneyers commented: “I am honored to have been elected to the PRI for the third consecutive time and would like to thank everyone who has supported my candidacy. I now look forward to continuing to work with my fellow Directors to drive the further development of the PRI’s ambitious agenda.”
Tycho Sneyers initiated LGT Capital Partners’ approach to ESG in 2002 and has since led the firm’s efforts to deeply embed ESG principles into the investment processes for private markets and liquid alternatives and its sustainable bond and equity portfolios. This included taking a leading role in developing specialized ESG investment guidelines and monitoring solutions for clients with specific ethical investment frameworks.
