Roger Hilty to speak at the Bloomberg Hedge Fund Forum in London

17 October 2025

Roger Hilty, Partner at LGT Capital Partners, will join a panel at the Bloomberg Hedge Fund Forum on 22 October 2025 in London. He will share insights on how hedge funds are using AI to generate alpha − a topic that continues to gain relevance as data-driven strategies become more important in today’s evolving market environment.

During the panel, Roger will explain how AI and machine learning-based strategies set themselves apart from traditional quantitative hedge funds with their ability to analyze large and varied datasets. These include alternative, often unstructured datasets like social media, news, consumer spending patterns, supply chain data, industry trends and market share dynamics, among others. These unconventional datasets can offer deeper insights to inform investment decisions. Amid the growing hype around AI hedge funds, a selective and discerning approach nevertheless remains essential.

Roger will also outline LGT Capital Partners’ current investment focus, including which types of hedge funds are favored and which tend to be avoided in the current environment.

The Bloomberg Hedge Fund Forum is a leading event for hedge fund managers, allocators and industry stakeholders. It offers a platform for senior decision-makers to connect and explore key developments across global hedge fund markets. This year’s agenda will focus on strategy selection, portfolio construction, risk management and the growing influence of technology on investment decisions.
