Pauline Wetter and André Aubert discuss long-term investment outlook with Les Echos Capital Finance
In connection with the IPEM conference in Paris, Pauline Wetter and André Aubert, both partners at LGT Capital Partners, gave an interview to Les Echos Capital Finance in which they shared their views on how investors are navigating economic uncertainty and adapting their strategies.
During the conversation, Pauline and André outlined how the current macroeconomic environment, shaped by persistent inflation, elevated interest rates and subdued exit activity, is reshaping investment strategies and time horizons. In view of these challenges, they believe that secondary transactions and continuation funds have an increasingly important role to play in addressing liquidity constraints and maintaining portfolio flexibility.
France remains a key market, with over EUR 4.8 billion invested across more than 40 local GPs. Their long-term commitment reflects confidence in the region’s strong mid-market ecosystem and experienced managers.
Private debt is also gaining relevance, offering attractive risk-adjusted returns. Access to top-tier and emerging managers remains central to their investment strategy, supported by deep relationships and disciplined selection.
