Pascal Koller analyzes the market for private reinsurance investments in Artemis
The trade publication Artemis published an article on private reinsurance investments featuring comments by Pascal Koller, Partner at LGT Capital Partners. According to Pascal, some investors have started to benefit from the outperformance of private reinsurance investments compared to catastrophe bonds, after a softening of pricing was seen in the second quarter of 2024.
Pascal has observed a resurgence in investor interest in the private insurance segment, primarily among foundations and family offices, similar to the trend seen a decade ago. In addition to higher levels of returns, the private reinsurance segment also offers greater diversification.
