LGT Private Debt sells its majority stake in Geomines to MBO+

30 June 2026

Entities advised by LGT Private Debt have signed a sale and purchase agreement with private equity firm MBO+ for their majority stake in Geomines, a leading French company in the assessment and mitigation of explosive threats.

Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Six-Fours-les-Plages, France, Geomines specializes in onshore and offshore survey and clearance, demilitarization and ammunition management, training and the dismantling of pyrotechnic plants. With approximately 80 employees, Geomines serves a diversified portfolio of blue-chip public and private clients in France and internationally.

Under LGT Private Debt's ownership and the leadership of a seasoned and committed management team, Geomines has undergone a significant transformation. In 2024, the company successfully acquired and integrated its main competitor, Eod-Ex, consolidating its leadership position in France. In parallel, Geomines has expanded its international presence by securing multiple contracts across Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, highlighting its recognized expertise in explosive ordnance management.

Etienne Haubold, Partner at LGT Private Debt, said: "Over the past few years, we have been impressed by Geomines’ development – from strengthening its French market leadership to reinforcing its international footprint. We would like to thank the entire Geomines team for the dedication they have shown throughout our partnership. We believe that the company is well positioned for its next chapter of growth."

Nathalie Félines, President of Geomines, commented: "The longstanding and continuous support of LGT Private Debt has been instrumental in accelerating our growth and consolidating our market position. We now look forward to pursuing the development of Geomines and entering this new phase alongside MBO+.”

Eléonore Forget, CEO of Geomines, added: "This transaction is a testament to the tremendous work accomplished by our teams over the past few years. We remain committed to further developing Geomines, building on the strong foundations that we have established with LGT Private Debt."
