LGT Capital Partners recognized “CLO Debut Manager of the Year” at the Global Capital European Securitization Awards 2026

27 March 2026

Global Capital today announced the winners of its European Securitization Awards 2026 and named LGT Capital Partners as the “CLO Debut Manager of the Year”. After investing in CLOs for more than a decade, the firm launched its dedicated platform for managing CLOs in Europe in May 2025. Since then, LGT Capital Partners has successfully closed two deals and priced a third deal.

LGT Capital Partners’ CLO platform, Legato, is co-managed by Thomas Kyriakoudis, Partner at the firm and Co-Head of Private Credit Solutions, and Ilina Chen, Portfolio Manager. Legato utilizes existing internal capital allocations and is open to institutional third-party investors.

After the launch, the team successfully closed its inaugural CLO transaction Legato 1 in September 2025. Due to strong investor demand, it was upsized to EUR 517.3 million. Legato 2 closed in January 2026 at EUR 406 million, reflecting sustained market confidence in the platform. Legato 3 was priced in March 2026 at EUR 450 million in a volatile market environment.

Thomas Kyriakoudis said: “We are pleased that Global Capital has recognized our efforts in the CLO space after the successful launch of Legato in 2025. The business is designed to generate stable, non-volatile returns and a diversified portfolio with different sources of income.”

Ilina Chen commented: “Legato builds on LGT Capital Partners’ more than 25 years of experience in private markets, a strong capital base and our global relationships. We are grateful for the trust investors place in our team and strategy and honored to receive this award.” The European Securitization Awards celebrate the leading deals, institutions and market participants in European structured finance.
