23 May 2025

LGT Capital Partners has published its TCFD Report 2024 with an update on the firm’s approach to managing climate-related risks and opportunities in line with the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). The report outlines developments in the firm’s climate-related strategy and practices over the past year.

The TCFD Report 2024 provides transparency on how LGT Capital Partners incorporates climate considerations into its investment processes and risk management with the aim of strengthening long-term portfolio resilience in a changing climate landscape.

At a time of increasing divergence in global climate policy and market responses, the firm continued to refine its Climate Action Framework. Notable developments in 2024 include the integration of forward-looking metrics based on the Net Zero Investment Framework (NZIF), as well as an expanded methodology for assessing both physical and transition risks at company level, supported by enhanced data inputs from S&P Global. The report now also contains a dedicated section on climate solutions and provides an overview of the firm’s transition planning.

On the metrics and targets front, the report includes expanded climate-related indicators for the private markets portfolio, with newly reported data from the ESG Data Convergence Initiative (EDCI).
