LGT Capital Partners co-leads closing of BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital’s EUR 800 million multi-asset continuation vehicle

BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital, the largest mid-market private equity investor headquartered in the DACH region and investing across the DACH region and neighboring economies, has closed its multi-asset continuation vehicle (CV) with over EUR 800 million of commitments, with LGT Capital Partners co-leading the transaction. The CV was launched to support the next phase of growth for Safety21 and Onlineprinters.

Pfaeffikon, 28 July 2026. The transaction attracted strong demand from existing and new institutional investors. Both portfolio companies present compelling value creation opportunities, making the CV structure a natural fit for the next stage in their development:

Safety21 is a leading end-to-end provider for road safety and smart mobility solutions in Italy. The company’s solutions are designed to reduce traffic violations, traffic accidents and CO2 emissions, as well as providing public administrations with a platform to outsource the processing of traffic violation fines. The company serves more than 700 municipalities under long-term contracts, generating recurring revenues underpinned by a large proprietary IoT installed base and deep regulatory expertise.

Onlineprinters is one of Europe’s leading technology-driven online printing companies and a reliable partner for B2B clients such as print shops, agencies and resellers. The company consolidates acquired print businesses onto its automated fulfillment platform, driving meaningful efficiency and sustainability gains. With approximately 1,500 employees in Germany, the UK, Denmark, Poland and Spain, the group serves more than one million small and medium-sized enterprises in over 15 countries across Europe.

André Aubert, Partner at LGT Capital Partners, commented: “We believe that strong partnerships and strong businesses go hand in hand. Following our longstanding relationship with BU Bregal Unternehmerkapital, we are pleased to have acted as co-lead for the closing of its continuation vehicle. Safety21 and Onlineprinters are high-quality assets with compelling growth runways – both organically and through acquisitions. We look forward to supporting their continued value creation."
