Ivan Vercoutère to speak on private equity performance at IPEM Cannes
IPEM Cannes will take place from 28 to 30 January 2025 at the Palais des Festivals and will focus on new promises for private markets. Ivan Vercoutère, a Managing Partner at LGT Capital Partners, will share his views on the market during a panel discussion on private equity performance in the next cycle.
Every year, IPEM Cannes brings together Europe’s private market decision-makers over three days to discuss trends and share insights on private markets. Over 3,500 participants – including more than 500 LPs and 500 GPs – as well as 1,300 firms are expected to attend the conference on the French Riviera.
The panel discussion with Ivan will be held on 29 January 2025. Private equity experienced a fairly long period of relatively high valuations in the run-up to the pandemic and in its immediate aftermath. These deals are still in portfolios as a slowdown makes exits more difficult, leading to longer holding periods. The panel participants will discuss how this affects the future growth of the asset class and how portfolio managers should deal with the situation.
