The Hedge Fund Journal names Martha Heitmann and Brooke Zhou among the 50 Women Leaders in Private Markets 2024
The Hedge Fund Journal has published its “Private Markets: 50 Women Leaders 2024” report, which features two Partners at LGT Capital Partners. Martha Heitmann has managed the firm’s LP‑led and GP-led secondary transactions in the US and Europe for nearly two decades. She heads the West Coast activities and is based in San Francisco. Brooke Zhou is based in Hong Kong and leads the firm’s secondaries investments in Asia, co-manages the Asian private equity team and heads LGT Capital Partners’ Beijing office.
Martha Heitmann joined LGT Capital Partners in Switzerland in 2007 as one of the first members of its secondary team, focusing primarily on European secondaries. In 2022, she opened the firm’s San Francisco office to further raise its profile in the US and forge deeper relationships with West Coast managers in both buyout and venture, as well as strengthening recognition of the LGT Capital Partners brand among LPs. Martha also chairs the firm’s DEI Committee to enhance the DEI awareness across the firm globally.
Brooke Zhou joined the firm in 2010. She builds and grows GP and LP relationships to source private equity investment opportunities across Asia. She also sits on the boards of many leading GPs in growth, buyouts, early-stage and late-stage venture capital. Brooke has invested across four comingled Asia funds and four global secondary funds. She is a DEI Ambassador at LGT Capital Partners, working closely with the DEI Committee and mentoring junior colleagues.
The Hedge Fund Journal, in association with Citco, has published “Private Markets: 50 Women Leaders” for the first time in 2024. The report highlights the role of senior women across private equity, buyouts, venture capital, secondaries and infrastructure, as well as certain service providers with a special focus on diversity.
