Pauline Wetter, Principal at LGT Capital Partners, speaks about the market environment for private equity. She highlights the importance of liquidity for investors, explaining that it creates interesting opportunities in the secondary market.
According to Pauline, 2023 was a stimulating year for private equity investors, as many of them restructured their portfolios and liquidity came back into focus. The secondary market has thus developed into a buyer’s market. Pauline believes that the private equity market will continue to be very agile in 2024, always moving to where the opportunities are.
The media outlet writes that LGT Capital Partners has been active in the secondary market for 20 years and has completed more than 390 transactions. It notes that the firm’s secondaries team is based in Switzerland, New York, San Francisco and Hong Kong.
